Resumen
Este artículo analiza la existencia de comportamiento caótico en la pobreza por ingresos en México (1992-2020). Se aplican diversas pruebas estadísticas para verificar la presencia del comportamiento. Las pruebas son de no linealidad, comportamiento aleatorio e irregular, y alta sensibilidad a condiciones iniciales. Los resultados indican que la dinámica caótica no explica el comportamiento de la pobreza, pero sí un comportamiento lineal. Finalmente, se desarrolla una regresión por mínimos cuadros ordinarios que la explica; las variables independientes son proporción de trabajadores con respecto a los dependientes económicos, tasa de fertilidad adolescente y participación del sector primario, e índice de Gini.
