Resumo
Este documento investiga los efectos de la pandemia de covid-19 en la producción manufacturera de nueve naciones de la región transpacífica, incluido México. Para ello se emplea un modelo de datos en panel con efectos fijos, el cual captura el impacto de las políticas fiscales y monetarias, de las fluctuaciones cambiarias y de tres variables relacionadas con la pandemia. El método de estimación corrige problemas de endogeneidad e incluye medidas para mejorar la eficiencia. La evidencia demuestra la efectividad de las políticas de estímulo a la oferta y de los programas de vacunación para elevar la producción.
